ASTON MARTIN SETS POLE IN BAHRAIN

Aston Martin Racing is on pole position for tomorrow's round of the World Endurance Championship at the Bahrain International Circuit.

Stefan Mucke driving the #97 Vantage GTE car set the fastest time in qualifying this afternoon with a time of 2'00.234, 0.3 seconds quicker than the #77 Porsche and nearly 1.3 secs faster than the championship-leading Ferrari.

It is the second consecutive pole position for the team having also set the fastest qualifying lap at the last race in Brazil two weeks ago.

The Vantage is once again proving itself to be the outright fastest car in the GTE class.  The team will now be looking to capitalise on this pace to seek victory in the Middle East round of the World Championship this weekend.
